WATCH: What is TOP SPLIT?

We live in a time of huge excitement for sim racing. With more and more new sim racers entering the virtual cockpit, the esports scene ramping up, and both game developers and hardware manufacturers upping their game, sim racing is more vibrant than ever.

With so much going on, how do you stay on top of it all?

That’s where TOP SPLIT comes in.

TOP SPLIT exists to showcase the world of sim racing. From gameplay and hardware reviews to esports coverage and discussion on the hot topics of the day, we’re building a place for sim racers to call home.

Want to know how those new pedals compare to others on the market? We’re here. Preparing for the next esports event? We’ll have the lowdown. Looking to know more about your favourite personalities? We’ve got you covered.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg of what we’re planning for TOP SPLIT, and we can’t wait to experience and share everything that sim racing has to offer with you.

Who’s behind TOP SPLIT? That’s me, John Nichols.

Since I was a kid, I’ve been a huge motorsports fan. From FORMULA 1 to Touring Cars, dirt tracks to superbikes, if it goes fast, I can’t take my eyes away.

Growing up in the 2000s then, I played all the racing games I could get my hands on; from TOCA and Gran Turismo to Need For Speed, the WRC games, those iconic Tokyo Drift arcade cabinets and many more – and naturally, as I got older, that led me to sim racing.

I got my first wheel & pedal set in 2017 and didn’t look back. Today, my passion for motorsports and sim racing burns brighter than ever – and after spending the past five years building media brands in other industries, it’s time to combine that with my love of motorsport.

From our website and newsletter to our socials and videos – if our content has informed or entertained you, that’s my goal achieved.

If all this sounds like your cup of tea, be sure to bookmark our site and follow our socials for all the latest in sim racing and beyond. I’ll see you out on track!
